WAWIEL PARK welcomes you the business person, holiday maker, tourist and camper to not only come and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, but also the various types of activities that we offer and are famous for.

Wawie Park offers various types of units, ranging from camping to luxury chalets to suit the needs, size and budget of the holidaymaker. All accommodation is within walking distance to all facilities. Apart from the "bring along" items all our units are fully equipped and tastefully furnished. Some units are equipped with TV and DSTV.

Summer months between October and March can reach a high of 40° during the day and night temperatures as high as 20°. During the winter months between April and September it can get as low as -5° during the night and 12° during the day. Whatever the weather provides, there is always something exciting to do at Wawielpark.

How to get there

From Johannesburg/Gauteng
Follow the N12 to Potchefstroom/Klerksdorp. 45 km's outside Potchefstroom turn left at the Orkney turn-off. Continue 15 km until you reach a 4-way stop. Turn left. Drive 7 km (over the Vaal River). After 300m on the gravel road turn right. Continue 1.5 km. Wawiel Park is on your right.

From Welkom/Kroonstad/Viljoenskroon
Follow the R30 to Orkney. Drive over the Vaal River. After entering Orkney you will reach a 4-way stop. Turn right under the bridge. Take 1st left at circle. Keep left and after 2 robots turn right on the old Potchefstroom road (R502). Drive past the Vaal Reefs mines on your right, and at the 4-way stop turn right on the Vermaasdrif Road. Continue 7 km (over the Vaal River). Continue 300m on the gravel road and turn right. Continue 1.5 km. Wawiel Park is on your right.

From Klerksdorp
Follow the N12 to Potchefstroom. Drive past Stilfontein and immediately after the large mine heap (at crushers), turn right. Continue 16 km and over the Vaal River. Continue 300m on the gravel road and turn right. Wawiel Park is on your right.
