Home to the Southey family since 1875, six generations have lived on this farm in the Colesberg district. Leigh and Penny Southey converted a lovely stable block into luxury accommodation with the needs of guests a priority. Crisp white linen, mohair blankets and feather pillows together with family heirlooms and country charm.

Organic Karoo lamb and venison produced on the farm feature in the delightful dinners served by the resident chef on gleaming yellow-wood tables. Creamy homemade ice-cream and paper thins almond tuilles for dessert and delicious health breakfasts of homemade preserves, farm fresh eggs, scones and light-as air muffins start your day.

Strolls around the estate where you can view gemsbok, zebra, springbuck and an assortment of birds and interesting Boer war sites or play boule, stargaze and swim in the springwater pool.
