Boulders Game Ranch and Bush Lodges has two x 8 bed lodges which are very private and secluded, both are self catering, though the main lodge can also be fully catered on special requests.

The Bush Lodge
A private and very exclusive lodge, located approximately 30 minutes from the Phalaborwa Gate to the Kruger National Park. The lodge offers 4 luxury, air-conditioned, thatched chalets - each with en-suite bathroom, ceiling fan and a balcony which offers a unique view of the surrounding valley.

Boulders Dam Lodge
A perfect getaway from the hussle and bussle of everyday life. The rustic settings ensure that you experience the tranquility and beauty of the surrounding bush. Enjoy "catch and release" fishing at the dam which is situated a few metres from the chalets. The Lodge offers self catering facilities are provided to ensure an undisturbed and peaceful stay and can accommodate upto 8 people. Facilities included are : indoor kitchen, stove, fridge, outdoor shower, electricity, ceiling fans, hot water and braai facilities.

Rates quoted are from R285 per person sharing per night. Unfortunately due to the lodge being on a hill, children under the age of 12 are not permitted unless prior arrangements have been made. “SORRY” No dogs are allowed at either Lodge.

Attractions

A full time chef ensures that guests are only served the finest cuisine out on the "deck" overlooking one of the many waterholes on the ranch. Sundowners are best enjoyed from the dining deck, where the view of the Drakensberg on the horizon is truly magnificent. After the excitement from the day, refresh yourself with long cool drinks from a well stocked bar.

For culinary adventures, true South African braai's (barbeques) under a star-studded African sky are not to be missed.
 

Special Features

A wide variety of game is found on the ranch including white rhino, buffalo, sable, eland, kudu, hyena, giraffe, warthog, wildebeest, zebra, impala, nyala, waterbuck, reedbuck, duiker, klipspringer, the shy and very rare Sharpe's grysbuck, as well as a very prolific leopard population.

Cheetah, wild dog, elephant and lion have also been sighted on occasion, as they pass through the ranch to neighbouring wildlife reserves. We specialise in ethical bow hunting.

How to get there

Guests can reach the lodge via a connecting flight from Johannesburg to Phalaborwa or Hoedspruit, from where they will be collected by Boulders' staff and taken to the lodge itself. Flights can also be chartered to the ranch, which boasts two well appointed landing strips for fixed wing aeroplanes, microlight flights etc.
