Description
TRIPONZA GUEST HOUSE is a family operated guest house and hydro with a fully equipped, yet personalized beauty salon and hairstudio on the premises, with lots of charm and character.

Everything about us depicts warmth, with a caring touch. We are centrally situated on the borders of Bedfordview, Edenvale and Germiston.

We offer you a true country atmosphere in the heart of the city. We offer, in our unique Bed and Breakfast triple storey octagon glass building set on the rocks, (City View) 7 x tastefully furnished rooms with a diningroom that can seat 24 people, as well as a comfortable lounge. Another building (Jungle View) on the premises houses 3 x equally tasteful bedrooms, yet more private, overlooking the swimming pool area.

This landmark was built in 1975 and featured in The STAR newspaper's front page in 1977. A framed clipping of this front page, can be seen in the foyer upon entering the diningroom.

There is a swimming pool and outside Jacuzzi nestled in a large garden with benches all over to sit and enjoy the Africa sun, or do bird watching. The gardens have prolific bird-life because of the indigenous trees and nests. Some of the regular birds (in their seasons) are starlings, black-collar barbets, long-billed wood hoepoe, crested barbet, robin, grey louries, shrike, mouse-birds, African hoepoe, hadedas and others.

A traditionally South African breakfast served from seasonal fruit, yogurt, cereals, bacon, sausages, fritters, eggs, etc is standard. We also cater for halaal and vegetarian, if booked in advance. Other services include Airport transfers, laundry, internet facilities as well as sightseeing information and bookings for Soweto, game drives and other places of interest. Lunch and dinner is catered for, by prior arrangement.

For the business traveler, there’s a small study table in each room and wireless internet facility is available. Industrial areas like Isando, Sebenza, Wadeville etc are all close by. TRIPONZA GUEST HOUSE is the guest house of choice among selective accommodation seekers. We hope that it will be yours too.

How to get there


FROM DURBAN - N3:

Travel north towards Pretoria. Take the M52 Van Buuren Road off-ramp, at Robots,( service station on left) turn right into Van Buuren Road. Drive straight until you have reachedl Kloof Road, turn
right into Kloof Road. Proceed until you have reached the t-junction at the end of Kloof Road.

At the stop street turn right, 60m turn left into slipway. At stop street turn left and immediately right into Zenith Street. Drive along Zenith Street. We are situated on your left, first entrance before the stop street at Main Street. No. 29 Zenith Street, Solheim, Germiston.

FROM PRETORIA - N3:

Travel south towards Durban, take the M52 Van Buuren off-ramp. At robot, turn left into Van Buuren Road. Drive along until you have reached Kloof Road. At robot (service station on left) turn right into Kloof Road. Drive straight until you have reached the t-junction.

Turn right at stop street and 60m away, turn left into slipway. At stop street, turn left and immediately right into Zenith Street. Drive along until before the stop street crossing the main street. We are situated on the left. First entrance before the stop street - 29 Zenith Street, Solheim, Germiston.
From Olivier Thambo R24 or Boksburg/Witbank N12 :
Travel towards Johannesburg. Take M37 Edenvale off-ramp. At robot turn left into Germiston Road. Drive straight, Shoprite Checkers on your left (only if from R24). Proceed straight, underneath the bridge. Pass the BP garage on your left. Pass Tile Africa on your left. Proceed straight, until the road make a split to the left. Turn left (O`crumbs pizza place will now be on your right) as you turned. At Sunnyridge medical centre signboard, turn right (this is also the first street where one can turn right). We are situated on the right the second entrance.
