Description
Hendriksdal is a small village situated in the mountains above Sabie and surrounded by lush green pine forests.

The Main Station Building, dating from the 1920's, was converted into four luxury en-suite rooms. With a view on the disused railway line, a perfect place to kick-off your shoes and have a relaxing evening. On approaching, the first room you meet is the STATION MASTER'S OFFICE. Has a comfortable queen size bed and extra large shower. Catering for two adults, your ticket to "management style" living.

THE TICKET OFFICE, our second family room. Spacious and comfortable with an en-suite bathroom (shower), accomodating two to tree aults. It has a comfortable qeen size and a tree-quarter bed. This room can also be converted to accomodate a larger family, by adding a double sleeper.

Our first family room, the spacious WAITING ROOM FIRST CLASS. Has a comfortable queen size bed, double sleepers and en-suite bathroom, sporting an extr large bath. Catering for 4 adults, you and the family can relax in stylish comfort.

Special Features

The Old Station Master's house has been converted into a casual family run Italian trattoria, offering rural Tuscan dishes. The menu includes a selection of dishes to suite all tastes: fish, poultry, lamb, beef, vegetarian as well as a selection of homemade pastas. We freshly bake Italian style bread in our wood oven.

Salad greens and herbs are freshly picked in our vegetable gardens before each meal. Our Diners Club award winning wine list has been especially selected to compliment the food.

How to get there


FROM JOHANNESBURG TO HENDRIKSDAL:
Follow the N12 to Witbank, where you will join the N4. Follow this road to Nelspruit, you will pass Belfast, Machado and Waterval Boven. Maintain your route to Nelspruit. In Nelspruit, you will find the route to Mashishing/Sabie, the R37.

Follow this road until you find Hendriksdal. You will see our boards on the side of the road. approximately 1 km before you turn right. You will see a large board pointing at an intersection to Rhenosterhoek, Hendriksdal and Mashishing. At this intersection, you will turn right. Proceeding down the road you will find a row of houses to your left, as you pass the side-road(Log cabin Rd.) you will see our board, turn right and you have reached your destination. We overlook the railway line and is a disused Train Station. The Old Station Master's house is the first building you see on entering our parking area.
