As the name suggests THE LOOKOUT GUEST HOUSE, is perched high on a hill overlooking the picturesque town of Port Alfred and commands panoramic views of the sea, the Kowie River, The Royal Alfred Marina and the colourful small boat harbour.

This owner- managed guesthouse offers friendly, relaxed and homely hospitality and your hosts Louise & Alan Corrans will ensure that all your needs and comforts are met.

The 3 self contained units are all elegantly furnished, luxuriously appointed, have their own seperate entrances and boast magnificent views. They are fully equipped with most of the modern conveniences and the well fitted kitchenettes are a real treat. All are serviced daily unless otherwise requested. Secure off street parking is available and BBQ/braai facilities and wood are provided. The deck and splash pool is the ideal place for sun lovers to relax or to enjoy a refreshing drink after a long day.

Attractions

Port Alfred is rapidly becoming one of South Africa’s premier holiday destinations and is at the “heart“ of the Sunshine Coast, midway between Port Elizabeth and East London on the R72. The pristine sandy white beaches stretch for miles on either side of the Kowie River and offer safe swimming, lovely long walks, great surfing or laid back sun-bathing. The river, which is tidal and is navigable for 29kms, is a paradise for boating, bird watching, water-skiing and fishing. Deep sea anglers and scuba divers can charter trips at the harbour.

The Royal Port Alfred Golf Club is close by whilst the challenging Fish River Country Club Golf Estate is a 15 minute drive away.

The Eastern Cape is malaria free and there are a number of wonderful game parks in the vicinity, some home to the Big 5. Hikers and horse riders are also well catered for.

Close to the town and all amenities and there are many good restaurants in the vicinity. Port Alfred's pristine beaches are only 3 minutes away.

How to get there


FROM PORT ELIZABETH:
Follow the R72 across the bridge over the Kowie River. Take the first turn left into Pascoe Crescent then an immediate sharp right into Park Road. THE LOOKOUT is at the top of the hill on the right.

FROM EAST LONDON:
Drive past the BP petrol station at the entrance to Port Alfred. The school playing fields are on the right. Take the first right into Park Ave then first left into Park Road. The Lookout is 200m down on the left.
