Welcome to DOORNBOSCH HUESTHOUSE & COUNTRY COTTAGE – where your dreams come true.

THE GUESTHOUSE
Three spacious and cozy guestrooms with en-suite bathrooms. For all our guests we have a large living area with an open kitchen, a comfortable sitting area with an open fireplace and a large verandah with stunning views.
The rooms can be booked individually or together, for maximum privacy. Warm colors, rich fabrics, handmade tile floors and comfortable furniture make each room unique.
Here you can enjoy luxurious slumber in your king-size bed with crisp linen bedding. The bathrooms are en-suite with large showers and twin sinks. The Protea Suite has a freestanding bathtub. A pleasant patio provides shade on hot summer days and gives you privacy when you want to doze in the afternoon or when you are having dinner under the open sky.

To share livingroom / lounge area with fireplace, fully equipped kitchenette, bar, terrace. If you choose to rent the whole house for utmost privacy, the maximum is 6 guests at a time.

COTTAGE
2 bedrooms with en-suite baths, living room, kitchen, pantry, terrace. Available as self-catering or Bed & Breakfast, (meals can be prepared on request).

Attractions

We are situated in the heart of the rural Overberg, no more than a 2-hour drive from Cape Town, midway on the road from Napier to Gansbaai. Close to the white beaches of Pearly Beach and just a few minutes from the scenic mission village of Elim. Cape Agulhas, the southernmost tip of Africa is only 45 minutes away.
 

Special Features

The cottage is part of a 5000 hectare working farm with protea and honey cultivation, with horseback riding and wild game, organic vegetable gardens and fresh water dams.

The self-catering cottage was built in the traditional Cape Dutch style, cool in summer and cozy in the winter. It offers everything you could wish for in country living. A breathtaking view, tasteful and comfortable furnishing, well equipped kitchen and beautiful rooms.

How to get there

Take the N2 to Caledon. Turn right into Caledon and go straight through following the Bredasdorp signs. When you reach Napier turn right at the first stop street opposite the Engen Service Station.

You go past the Napier School and then the road turns to gravel. Follow this road for 28 km and you will reach the farm. Take the second big white entrance to the right, the driveway is 2 km long.
