Description
Welcome to LEOPARD'S VALLEY SAFARI LODGE. We offer a wide range of accommodation, suitable for families, couples or tourists.

Our lodge is a 200 year old farm house that has been in our family's care for 6 generations. It is nestled in the wild African bushveld. The lodges sleep 2 people per room, in double or single beds, all with en-suite bathrooms and modern day conveniences and 2 rooms have old-fashioned cast-iron baths. The lodge sleeps up to 8 guests.

The guests are treated to Traditional South African cuisine, with a large garden and pool area to relax in. This is an ideal getaway for a group of family or friends, or simply that quiet weekend on your own. Situated next to the famous Cranemere and Fountains farm, as described in the book "Plains of the Camdeboo", you can relax and enjoy, while you soak up the breathtaking view of the beautiful amphitheatre of mountains that surround us.

Attractions

We are an unfenced working stock ranch that forms part of a family trust 11 000 hectares, close to 30 000 acres, and has most of the wild indigenous animals free roaming across its plains. From the majestic Kudu to the mighty Eland to the small and regal Steenbuck and Duiker. The secretive Bush pig to the plains dwellers, the enchanting Gemsbuck and the multitudes of common and black Springbuck.

The Black Wildebeest, the clown of the bush and his very good friend, the Blesbuck, and also the most famous of African animals, the Impala. In the hills you can listen to the whistle of the Mountain Reedbuck. If you really concentrate you might even see the little Klipspringer bouncing from stone to stone carefully being watched by the big black Eagle.

Only 2½ hours drive from Port Elizabeth and the Port Elizabeth International Airport. The world famous Addo Elephant National Park and Cradock Mountain Zebra National Park are both only 1 and a half hours drive from camp.

One of our most enchanting features is the beautiful mountainous amphitheatre the homestead and lodges are situated in. We are Malaria and Bilharzia free and NO special medication is required. We are within quick reach of superb medical attention.

Take a leisurely stroll or guided walk amongst the many tall Acacia Karoo trees that are customary in the riverine bush, with abundant red buffalo grass, creating a blanket along the rivers banks. Be truly "in the bush" relaxing in beautiful and tranquil surroundings. Here only the chorus of birds at day break and the lonesome bark of a kudu bull being disturbed, break the silence of the African bush.
