MZIKI SAFARI LODGE offers luxury accommodation, superb traditional and international cuisine, excellent bird and game viewing and the warmth and charm of true South African hospitality.

Just 9 ethnically designed rooms, accommodating a maximum of 18 adults guarantee our guests privacy and exclusivity. We offer 5 thatched twin or king-size bedded stand alone chalets/rondavels each with a lounge, veranda and en-suite bathroom, situated in a semi-circle in our lush indigenous garden.

In the main lodge we offer 4 rooms, 2 on either side, facing out onto a sparkling swimming pool and overlooking a waterhole where game drink regularly. Unwind to the gentle crackle of fire in the Cognac Bar and Lounge (ideally suited for the chilly winter evenings) or simply relax in the outdoor safari lounge with spectacular views of the surrounding bush (during warm and breezy summer nights). Bathe in the swimming pool and enjoy a braai (BBQ) in the thatched boma.

How to get there

Follow William Nichol R511 past Diepsloot to R511 Hartebeespoort turnoff. Follow winding and mountainous road past 2 stop signs; 2 traffic lights; another 2 stop signs. At 5th stop take the R511 direction Brits. At the T-junction take the R511 left into and through Brits.

After Brits follow the R511 towards Thabazimbi. 36 km after Brits turn left towards Vaalkopdam and Beestekraal at the T-junction turn left, followed by a right turn after 1 km.

Follow the road for a few kilometers until you see a hill with a water reservoir. Enter at the foot of the hill (the middle dirt road, with an open gate) and follow the road to the MZIKI SAFARI LODGE Gate. Phone the lodge number on the gate for access. Enter the gate and please wait for the gate to close automatically behind you.

Continue straight down the main road until you find a fork in the road and take the right hand road. Follow this road to the lodge and park in the covered parking area provided.
