All the en-suite rooms of POPLARS ON THE BEND are stylishly furnished with period pieces and collectables, yet in a homely and comfortable manner. Bedding provided is of a high percale quality to add to your comfort. Included with the accommodation is access to 400m of unspoilt river frontage on the Vaal River. There is a self contained cottage sleeping 4 and a farmhouse sleeping 6 adults and 3 children. The entire farm with main homestead, guest house, gallery and river frontage can be rented for private functions such as weddings, birthdays and fabulous parties.

How to get there


FROM JOHANNESBURG
Travel south on the N1 to Bloemfontein. Take the Potchefstroom / Van der Bijl turn-off (R53). Turn right over the highway. Carry on for 12km.

Turn left to Lindequesdrift. Carry on for 12km. Turn left again on to the R500 to Parys. After 5km, you will get to"POPLARS ON THE BEND" on your left. Look out for the blue boards on the left, advertising "French Painted Furniture".

FROM PARYS
Cross the bridge over the river. Continue straight, pass the Potchefstroom turn-off. Look out for "Smilin Thru" on the right hand side (10km outside of Parys). We are 500m further on the right - look out for our sign.
