Special Features

An upstairs area incorporates a further two single beds, with the bedroom affording incredible views of the interior of Inhaca Island as far away as the lighthouse (Farol) on the northern tip and Machangulo Peninsula on the Southern tip.

Privately nestled in the surrounding bush area, two open plan thatched cottages await the intrepid traveler – Chalet Dugong consists of a double bed with en suite bathroom, whilst Chalet Orca offers two single beds and en suite bathroom. Both of these cottages have access to a further bed which either two children or an extra adult could also be accommodated. The entertainment area consists of a very large fresh water swimming pool with bar, braai, serving and open fire facilities, with a cozy thatched dining area located alongside, all conveniently overlooking the magnificent Indian Ocean.

Although a self catering lodge at this time, Nahyeeni employs three permanent maids and a gardener/maintenance man available on duty every day for your convenience, whilst two guards oversee the property during the night hours.

Fine Wine Selection: in our quest to provide our Lodge with exciting wines, we have linked up with Mike Bampfield-Duggan of Wine Concepts, one of Cape Town`s leading specialist wine shops. Mike has personally selected for our Lodge a classic range of new and different wines, giving you an opportunity to taste unusual or unheard of blends further adding to the ambiance of your stay.

How to get there

Nahyeeni Lodge offers client transfers from Maputo Marina in Maputo City to Inhaca Island with a maximum of 9 people per trip (weather dependent).

Alternatively, there is the Government run ferry (Nyaleti) which runs on the weekends and on alternate days (Tuesday and Thursday) during the week or the privately run Vodacom ferry which is quicker and more secure than the ‘Nyaleti’ but only offers crossings on Saturday and Sunday.
