Gauteng

Johannesburg City Gauteng might be the smallest of the South African provinces in geographic size but it is by far the largest in terms of it's contribution to the South Africa economy.

The heart of business in South Africa, centred around Johannesburg, the largest city in Southern Africa. Gauteng offers the tourist or business traveller every modern facility that they might need. SModern air conditioned shopping malls such as Sandton City and many others abound, modern and air conditioned with some of the finest product on offer.

Gauteng is serviced internationally by the Johannesburg International Airport with flights linking this modern city to all parts of the world and flights linking Johannesburg to the rest of South Africa and Southern Africa.

Johannesburg and it's nearby neighbour, Pretoria, the political capital of South Africa are large cities by any international standards, offering all the well known Hotel groups such as Hyatt; Hilton and the Holiday Inn group. However, hidden amongst these giants are a selection of top privately owned Bed and Breakfast accommodation options, supported by exclusing guest lodges and private game reserves, the tourist and business traveller alike are offered an array of options, from the needs of the budget traveller to those requiring exclusivity and privacy.

Browse our site for the many options available or give our offices a call on +(27) (0)43 7486413 and we will gladly assist you with your travel plans.

Whilst the mining and diamond industry my have it's origins in Kimberly and the Northern Cape, one just has to drive around Johannesburg, perhaps visiting Gold Reef City or look out your car window to see the massive effect the gold and diamond mining industries have had on this city. Whilst most famous cities are usually either based on a natural harbour or a river, Johannesburg is a little unique in that it has a centre based on an economy rather than a geographic reason. Johannesburg is a land locked city, has an "inland harbour" or rather a demarcated customes zone linking it to the harbour cities for import and export simplicity. Serviced by rail, air and an efficient road system the Gauteng Province can certainly be described as the economic capital of Sout Africa and an ideal point of departure to the many interetsing travel destinations. Browse around our site for some wonderful accommodation options, from self catering to luxurious game lodges and many accommodation options.
