The main attractions of the Western Cape are the beautiful beaches; Cape Towns' majestic Table Mountain and it's modern new cable car system; the wine land areas of Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl; the Victoria and Alfred waterfront in Cape Town with the internationally recognised Two Oceans Aquarium; the harsh beauty of the West Coast areas and the beautiful Fynbos floral kingdom of the mountains and Garden Route. Along the Eastern side, short trip from Cape Town takes visitors to the small resort town of Hermanus, famous for the whale watching, usually between August and December and the quaint fishing town of Gans Baai.
 
From internationally acclaimed golf courses such as Arabella; Steenberg; Mowbray and West Lake to whale watching in Hermanus and the adrenalin rush of shark cage diving, the tourism options in this wondeful area are unlimited. There are beautiful sea side resorts a short drive from Cape Town, Strand; Gordons Bay and Hermanus offer visitors sea, sunshine and many interesting activities.
